Very nice recipes

I am making my way through the recipes and find them to be easy to follow and the ingredients are very accessible at my grocery. I really like that the author includes how to incorporate meat as an option or how to go vegan. Lots of flavors! The book has really pretty photos of the dishes to boot!

Kindle version poorly formatted; many recipes with apparent errors

[Kindle version] I have been searching for a book that focuses on legumes as there aren't many of them. This looked promising, especially for the $.99 price. So I took a chance. I was deeply disappointed in this cookbook.
First, the graphics that accompany the title to each recipe overlap the print, making the recipe title often unreadable. Many photos or graphics are placed on individual pages so that they don't read as if they belong together; thus, they often make no sense. The recipes themselves look good but when you read the instructions closely, you discover they are poorly written. The ingredient lists often included cooked legumes but then called for long cooking times in the instructions. Given that legumes are fast cooking, many of these recipes made no sense. I'm an experienced cook but I had no clue in many of those recipes exactly what was required - dry or cooked? And why was a cooking time listed of over an hour when the lentils were already supposed to be cooked prior to adding? I did not trust that they would turn out correctly given the confusing instructions. I returned the Kindle edition because it was so unreadable. I won't order the hardcover unless the publisher does a better job of editing and ensuring the accuracy of recipes included and improves instructions. It's a shame. There is a need for a book like this one.

stunning and filled with delicious recipes

This book is stunning. The recipes are inventive and healthful and very easy to follow. Substitutions can be made to fit vegan, vegetarian, or diets that include meat. I loved that recipes are concise and are on one page. It is just so lovely.
