I was lucky enough to be sent a review copy of this book and could not put it down.
It is not often that I sit solidly with a book for the best part of a day and read it from cover to cover in one sitting, I did with Brest and Beyond.
This book tells the story of the treatment of German paratroopers after the war by the Allies and the sometimes medieval conditions in which they were kept for long periods of time. There only crime....being on the losing side.
This book gives insight into the abuse of justice these brave soldiers suffered and shows how General Ramcke continued till his death to defend the reputation of his men and fellow officers of the Fallschirmjager.
