To get a full deck of full color item cards at less than $10 is a steal. To make these item cards more useful I would suggest putting cheap clear sleeves on them. Prior to the session write a code with dry erase marker on the back of the treasure they may encounter: 1A, 2B etc. etc. Then when giving party loot hand them a stack of these labeled cards. When the players identify an item check it off your list and have them hand the card back to you. This is a great way to keep track of loot for both the players and DM's and it gives the players a visual.

Not worth the money

The GameMastery Item cards are nearly useless as an rpg prop. These cards have a picture of a generic item on the front and a blank back for notes or descriptive text. The $10 retail price is way out of line for a glorified deck of playing cards with limited uses. Save your money and make your own.

If you really like props, check out garage sales for very cheap items to use (old costume jewelry, etc). They look better, last longer are far more appealing.

This book saved me another 3 month block of life spent laboring over BarBri materials and the emotional trauma of another bar fail. I bought this and the Tim Tyler "How to Write Performance Tests for Bar Exams" at the recommendation of a successful California Bar repeat taker's blog and used both along with an old 2006 BarBri MBE subjects outline and 1 Kaplan book of MBEs. I passed.

Excellent study guide. Covers tactics, strategies, tips, tricks and basic "watch for this" information. The example essays and approach are proving to be very helpful. There are numerous typos and a few substantive errors - but on balance its pretty solid on the content and excellent on the approach.

This textbook is extremely wordy. I found myself wondering at times if Jacoby himself even understood his own gibberish. Most authors KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) their material, but not Jacoby. I recommend having a dictionary handy when reading this text. Very disappointed with examples used throughout the book. Not a good book for intro to criminology.

Classic in Criminology

The 2nd edition is a collection of works, mostly peer reviewed or taken from books, with great emphasis on social control and punishment in society. It was recommended by a professor as the main text in the class, however there is a third edition already published that is more updated with several new chapters.
